best friends.. forever...
recent family bonding moments...

taken during our company's recent team building at Villa Antonina @SanFernando, Pampanga last Saturday.. i brought my kiddies along since my team mates insisted on seeing them.. i'm glad because they volunteered as baby-sitters.. . hehehe.. after our swimming expedition, the team went to the comforts of our homes at 12 noon... as typhoon Ondoy began striking an hour later...

ahehehe... aprub!
not yet, Mom...
he said, "Sister?.. Baby? .. parang si Kyla?"
i told him, "Yes.. para meron na tayong little girl.. You and Kian will take care of her.."
he said again..."sister? girl?".. i nodded "Yes" again.. this time, he shook his head and said...""mommy, ayoko ng sister.. gusto ko si Kian lang..."
i asked him again..."hmm, kyle, what if Mommy likes a baby girl? Paano kung meron na baby girl sa tummy ni Mommy?".. i just told him that to see his reaction - but FYI, i'm not pregnant... hehehe...
anyway, when i told him about having a baby girl inside my tummy, he put his head and hand on my belly and said, "Hey baby girl.. wag kang lalabas dyan ha.. ang kapatid ko si Kian lang..."
ahhhh!!! this only means one thing... Kyle doesn't me to get pregnant again... ahehehehe...
oh well... maybe in the future, my little boys might change their minds... after all, they're still very young...
i'll try asking them again next time... maybe after 3 years.. :)
when i grow up...
Last Friday night i had a small one-on-one talk with my kiddo, Kyle... yes, he's just 3 years old but apparently, he already have plans for his future..i asked him random questions and he anwered me as if he already knew what lies ahead of him.. the biggest surprise of all is when i asked him what he wants to be when he grows up.. this was how our conversation went:
Me: Kyle, anong gusto mo maging paglaki mo?
Kyle: Mommy, i want to be a Doctor!
Me: oh really? bakit naman doctor..
Me: huh? anong isa pa?
Me: what is it, Kyle?
Kyle: I want to be a dinosaur!!
Me: WHAT? you cant be a dinosaur!
Kyle: Mommy, i want to be a Dinosaur, parang si Barney!
Me: huh? Barney? why?
Kyle: kasi Mommy, si Barney, naging doctor sya kahapon (i think he was referring to an episode in Barney show), pinagaling nya yung friend nya. kaya gustko din maging dinosaur...
Me: NYEK!!!
hahaha.. yeah, we started on a serious note but i ended up laughing out loud upon hearing my child's sentiments..it made me realize that children, eventhough they haven't reached the maturity level yet, at least they know what they want when they grow up.. i was ashamed of myself because when i was a kid, i wasn't that particular with my ambitions yet.. i just decided for myself when i graduated in high school. even then, the choice i made wasn't really the course i really wanted.. i just hope that my children would be able to take up what they really want to be in the future...
that night, i learned something from my kid: dream high as early as you can, reach out for that dream and make it happen... and in the eyes of a child, everything is possible.
greetings, earthlings!

kyle & kian's WORDS of fun..
last night, i was feeding Kian a bowl of chicken tinola when he got off from his seat and chased his kuya Kyle. usually, when they ran around the house, Kian plays with his food and throws them on the trash bin. so i thought he would just throw the chicken leg i gave him.. when Kian came back to our dining table, i asked him...Mommy: Oh Kian.. san mo nilagay yung food mo?

Daddy: Kyle, let's stop playing muna..
Kyle: why daddy?
Daddy: kasi, i'm tired na. wala na akong energy..
Kyle: eh di, you take Enervon.. para more energy, mas happy!

i'm sorry dear friends..my post is a little corny today.. it just so happened that this is our topic today in the office.. ewan ko ba kung pano napunta dito ang usapan... pero heto ako at tuwang-tuwa sa pagsariwa sa mga "cartoons or anime" na naging bahagi ng aking teen/tween-life..yes, i was also once a kid who used to watch cartoons A LOT! in fact, i think i havent' outgrown this childhood addiction just yet.. now, cartoons have evolved to 2d and 3D and anime and a bunch more.. but i won't ever forget those that became part of my innocent days..
let me just quote some of those memorable cartoon lines that i used to watch before:
1. Here I come to save the day, Mighty mouse is on the way! hmm.. okay, that is obviously a given.. of course, that's from Mighty Mouse!!
2. Autobots!!! Transform and rollout!!!- by Optimus Prime on The Transfomers.
3. By the power of Greyskull!- by Prince Adam on He-Man and the Masters of the Universe
4. Care Bear Stare!!! - hayan, manigas ka na, hehehe - the Carebears
5. Yabba Dabba Doo- Flintstones
6. Meanwhile; back at the Hall of Justice- Superfriends!
7. Cowabongga! Turtle Power! -Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - which was adapted by Pinoys and turned into Pandakekoks! hahaha..
8. Shiver me Timbers! -Popeye the Sailorman, *pooot-pooot*
9. Parurusahan kita sa ngalan ng buwan! Usagi - Sailormoon!
7:10 am, a few minutes after Kyle awoke, i changed his night clothes and combed his hair.. he saw his yaya Kolyn texting, so he asked me where i put his toy phone.
when i gave it to him, he punched some numbers and talked over the phone and here's what he said:
Kyla? Hello, Kyla? andyan ka ba?i asked Kyle why he was calling his friend. he said, "Mommy, kasi gusto ko punta house niya. andun na ba sya?" sensing that he remembered the promise i gave him a month ago about us visiting Kyla, i told my son to wait for an hour before we go to Kyla's house, because she might still be asleep..
Kyle said, "oh, kaya pala di nya sagot cellphone nya"...i smiled when i saw him pout his lips..
7:40am, i decided that it was time for my kids to have their early biking routine. so i got our bike/pedicab and we circled the village. when Kyle saw Kyla's house, he told me to stop so we can drop by and see Kyla.. so off we went to his puppy love's abode..seconds later, we were at the Calaguas residence and me & my kumare had a chat at the front yard. Kyle was straining his neck as he peeped on the window but his lady love Kyla was nowhere to be seen. turned out that she was with her father at their kitchen.
when Kyle saw her, i told him to say "hi" to Kyla, but to my astonishment, he just went outside the gate and insisted that we go home.. i asked him what the matter was.. he then said, "hiya ako mommy..."
but when i told his ladylove that Kyle actually missed him a lot, Kyla just smiled and went back to her father. i asked my son why he wouldn't talk to her but he was ignoring me. i shrugged my shoulders for i do not know what happened. when i asked Kyla myself, she timidly said,
di ko po na-miss si Kyle eh....ahhh... the pain of a broken heart.. my son's first heart break.. i sensed that Kyle went home with a heavy heart after our short visit.. i honestly told my son that Kyla didn't seem to miss him.. when we got home, he asked me:
Mommy, bakit kaya di nya ako na-miss?ahh.. my son, i dont' know how to answer you.. *sigh*
new sexy Dora
remember last time i posted something about DORA here in my blog? that was a year ago... my sons are big fans of Dora, and her cousin Diego.. well, a week ago, i got an e-mail from nick,jr displaying the silhouette of the new Dora doll.. my friends and i exchanged opinions about this development, as to how secy the new Dora would be and what would happen to her comrades, Boots the monkey, Issa the Iguana, Benny the Bull, Ticko the Squirrel, & Swiper the Fox.
we joked, "Boots will turn into a gorilla while Swiper will turn into a wolf and Issa will evolve into a dragon!"
but seriously, i was a little worried & curious about the recent Dora upgrade.. because my sons have memorized little Dora's features in their minds - small, big head, big hair and always with a back-pack.. they like how Dora would find her way home by taking Boots with her and asking the Map for directions.
and now, when i saw the new image of Dora, i know that I will not personally like her and i will never inform my kids about the new Tween Dora.... because my kids are GUYS! and the new tweenage Dora is not for kiddos below 3 years old..
so from now on, i'll just tell my kids to watch Go, Diego Go and Barney and forget about Dora.. hehehe..
candid kian
kiddy adventures...

Kyle & Kian's saturday afternoon ritual? playing games at World of Fun..
and they call it puppy love...
anyway, i asked my little tot what the problem was.. Kyle said, complete with sobbing sound effect: "Mommy, nami-miss ko na yung kaibigan ko.. di ko na sya nakakausap.." i squinted my eyes and thought deeply.. "which friend is he referring to?" maybe, he was thinking about his bestfriend PJ, who recently moved to a new location, thus, they are no longer seeing each other.
but my little boy shook his head from left to right and said, No Mommy, i miss Kyla!
oooh... Kyla... his childhood sweetheart.. Kyla is our neighbor's daughter who is a month younger than my Kyle. her mom, Malou, is actually my kumare and i often tease her that my son would soon marry her daughter in the future.. (Kyle + Kyla = 4Ever!) hahaha.. we mommies are a bit crazy when it comes to our offsprings :D
okay, so back to the topic.. kyle was adamant that we see Kyla right away, that night, because he hadn't seen her for a while. actually, Kyla and her family were away for 2 weeks because my kumare had to give birth to a new baby girl. i think they moved to their in-laws for the meantime, that's why my Kyle no longer sees his special someone.. when i told my Kyle that we're gonna visit his lady love the next week, he smiled his wonderful smile and agreed to sleep, as long as I'll keep my promise to him..
ahhh.. Kyle.. at the very tender age of 3, could he be falling in love this early? *mommy grins from ear to ear.. hehehe*
And they call it puppy love
Oh, I guess they'll never know
How a young heart really feels
And why I love her so
